The HPE ProLiant DL180 Gen10 is a 2U rack server compatible with first- or second-generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Fully configured it supports up to 1TB of memory across 16x DIMM slots. Storage options include 8x to 24x small form factor (SFF) SAS/SATA HDD/SSD or 8x to 12x large form factor (LFF) SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drives. 2x additional SFF SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drive bays are available depending on the model.
Designed to deliver performance and reliability for businesses running hybrid cloud applications or on-premises networks, the 2U HPE DL180 Gen10 Server supports one or two 1st or 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. The maximum memory capacity on this system is 1TB when all 16x DIMM slots are populated. Storage solutions include 8x to 24x SFF SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drive bays or 8x to 12x LFF SFF SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drive bays. Optional dual SFF SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drive bays are also available depending on the model. For expansion purposes, there are 6x PCIe 3.0 expansion slots on the rear of the server. The system is powered by 1+1 redundant HPE Flexible Slot Power supplies.
Processing power is provided by one or two second-generation Intel Xeon Scalable 3200-8200 Series or first-generation Intel Xeon Scalable 3100-6100 Series processors. Compatible core counts on this system range between 4x to 26x physical cores. A maximum of 35.75MB of L3 Cache is available on some CPU models compatible with this system. Supported CPU power consumption ranges between 85W to 150W.
Chassis configurations include either 8x to 24x small form factor (SFF) SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drive bays or 8x to 12x large form factor (LFF) SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drive bays accessible from the front of the system. 2x optional SFF SAS/SATA HDD/SSD drive bays are available depending on the model of the system. M.2 SATA options are also supported on the system board of the HPE DL180 Gen10 Server.
There are a total of 16x DDR4 DIMM slots on the system board. With 6x memory channels per processor, each processor has 2 channels that can be outfitted with 2 DIMMs per channel and 4 channels that with only 1 DIMM per channel for 8 memory module slots per socket. Depending on the chosen CPU, the compatible memory speeds include 2933MT/s, 2666MT/s, or 2400MT/s. The maximum memory configuration on this system is 1TB using 64GB DDR4 Registered DIMMs (RDIMM) or Load Reduced DIMMs (LRDIMM).
In order to use all 6x PCIe 3.0 expansion slots both CPU sockets must be populated and a secondary riser card needs to be installed onto the HPE DL180 server. The standard expansion configuration on this system supports 3x PCIe 3.0 slots with a x8 connector width per riser card.
System management is achieved through HPE iLO Standard with Intelligent Provisioning (embedded) as well as HPE OneView Standard, which requires a download. An optional license is available for HPE iLO Advanced and HPE OneView Advanced. HPE iLO technology grants access to service alerting, remote management, and issue reporting for your system administrator.
