The Maxwell-powered NVIDIA Quadro M5000 graphics card offers 8GB of memory on a 28nm process. Featuring 2,048 shading units, it also has a new display engine that can drive up to four 4K resolutions displays for extensive visual projects.
With more memory bandwidth and support for newer features compared to the Kepler GPUs, the Maxwell architecture Quadro M5000 delivers incredible performance when creating and rendering complex data. 8GB of memory and coupled with advanced technological features on the M5000 allow professionals to power through workloads smoothly and easily.
Succeeding the previous generation Kepler architecture, the M5000 featuring Nvidia’s Maxwell architecture has more memory capacity, more display ports, and support for DirectX12. With 2,048 CUDA cores on the 28nm manufacturing process, there are 5,200 million transistors packed into the large die. There are also 128 texture mapping units, 64 ROPs, and 4.3 TFLOPS. The GPU normally operates at a frequency of 861 MHz, which can be boosted up to 1038 MHz. With just 150W, the card delivers incredible performance to allow professionals to easily conquer intense workloads.
The M5000 graphics processing unit comes with 8GB of ECC GDDR5 memory and a 256-bit interface with up to 211GB/s bandwidth. ECC provides extra reliability when rendering or creating large models.
This new Quadro M5000 has some physical differences with better airflow due to the triangular vents on the input/output plate and a fan shroud. The ports on the card’s edge have also changed: the stereo connector is now closer to the SLI connector, there’s a single DVI connector instead of the two that were on the K5200, and there are now four DisplayPort connectors for multiple high-resolution 4K displays.
The dual-slot NVIDIA Quadro M5000 GPU is built on a 28nm manufacturing process powered by Maxwell architecture to overcome challenging workloads. 8GB of ECC GDDR5 memory provides extra reliability for complex projects. Outfitted with 2,048 CUDA cores and 5,200 million transistors, this graphics card can take on the most sophisticated professional applications.
