Offering JBOD capacity when paired with a TrueNAS Series appliance, the TrueNAS ES60 Expansion Shelf has 60x 3.5-inch top-loading drive bays compatible with the 2.5-inch form factor. This system allows you to seamlessly, and without disruption, increase storage capacity to your network with terabytes of data that can convert to petabytes of storage using standard compression and deduplication protocols.
The TrueNAS ES60 Expansion Shelf supports a number of storage protocols including Windows, Apple, Unix, and mobile devices. Supported storage media includes Enterprise Nearline SAS3 hard drives and Enterprise Solid State Drives offering data rates of 12Gb/s with a capacity of 4TB to 22TB. Self-encrypting drives can also be installed. Power is provided by dual redundant 90% efficient, hot-swappable drives.
Dual hot-swap SAS3 controllers feature 12Gb/s access speeds plus 2x mini-SAS HD host connections per controller. Total capacity of storage depends on the TrueNAS series appliance this expansion shelf is attached to.
